Three ways to quiz: play our free quizzes, download a ready-made quiz pack, or host a live quiz where everyone answers on their phone. Here’s the one-minute version.

Play a free quiz

- Get your scoreEnter your email at the end to see your score, with the answer and explanation for every question.
2 · Quiz packs
Download a ready-made quiz
- Choose a packEach pack page shows the rounds, sample questions and the licence (home use, or venue use for pubs and clubs).
- Pay securelyCheckout is by Stripe. Your download is ready straight away, and we email you the link.
- Print it or play itYou get PDFs: a host pack with every question and answer, team answer sheets and, in many packs, a picture round.
- Host it online tooFor 30 days after you buy, you can run the pack as a live quiz or play it solo. The download itself never expires.
3 · Live
Host a live quiz on everyone’s phones
If you’re hosting
- Sign inGo to Host a live quiz and sign in with the email address you bought with. We email you a link, so there’s no password.
- Set it upPick the quiz and the rounds, the seconds per question (15 to 45), and multiple choice or type-your-answer.
- Put it on the big screenThe host screen shows a QR code and a join code. Wait for everyone to join, then press Start.
- Let it runEach question appears on screen with a timer. You see how many have answered, then the answer and a leaderboard.
If you’re playing
- Scan inScan the QR code, or go to thequizbox.co.uk/join and type the code. No app to download.
- Enter a namePick a name or team name and add your email address.
- Answer fastTap an answer (or type it, if the host chose that). Right answers score 500 to 1,000 points: the quicker, the more.
Hosting online needs a quiz pack (for 30 days after you buy it) or Quiz Box Unlimited. Up to 100 players per game.
On your own?
Play solo in game-show mode
Play any quiz you’ve bought on your own: multiple choice or type-your-answer against the clock, more points for faster answers, and your best score saved to beat next time. Find it in Your quizzes.

Questions
What do I need to host a live quiz?
A laptop or TV for the host screen (a projector works too), an internet connection, and a phone for each player or team. There’s nothing to install.
Do players need to pay or download an app?
No. Players join free in their phone’s web browser by scanning the QR code or typing the join code. They just enter a name or team name and an email address.
How many people can play?
Up to 100 players per game. Teams can share a phone, so a room of any size can play.
Can we play when we’re not in the same room?
Yes. Share the host screen on a video call and send everyone the join link. Players answer on their own phones wherever they are.
Which quizzes can I host online?
Any quiz pack you’ve bought (for 30 days after you buy it), or every pack with Quiz Box Unlimited. Mr & Mrs is played out loud, so it stays a download.
Can I print the quizzes?
Yes. Quiz packs are PDFs with answer sheets, ready to print. Free quizzes are for playing solo online, so there is no PDF.
Where do I find a quiz I bought?
In Your quizzes. Sign in with the email address you used to buy, and download it again any time. Your download never expires.
