12 hen do games
1. The Mr & Mrs quiz
The hen do classic. Before the day, ask the partner 20 questions ("Who's the better cook?", "What was your first date?") and record their answers, ideally on video. On the hen, the bride-to-be answers the same questions and scores a point for every match. Use our free Mr & Mrs questions, or the Mr & Mrs Quiz pack with 80 questions and answer cards for both partners.
2. How well do you know the bride?
Flip it round: the hens answer questions about the bride-to-be (her first job, her go-to karaoke song, her worst haircut) and she reveals the answers. The hen who knows her best wins.
3. Who's most likely to…
Read out a prompt ("Who's most likely to cry at the speeches?") and everyone points at a hen on the count of three. Quick, loud and a brilliant ice-breaker when half the group haven't met.
4. Never have I ever
Take turns to say something you've never done; anyone who has takes a sip. Keep a tame list and a cheeky list, and choose depending on who's there.
5. Decades music quiz on your phones
Put a quiz on the TV and everyone answers on their phone against the clock. Pick the decade the bride grew up in: our 1990s, 2000s and 2010s packs have music, film and TV rounds, and the leaderboard pops up after every round.
6. Design the wedding dress
Split into teams, hand out toilet roll, tape and a time limit, and dress one hen from each team. The bride-to-be judges the winner.
7. Guess the baby photo
Ask every hen for a baby photo in advance. Number them, stick them on the wall, and see who can match the most photos to faces.
8. Two truths and a lie
Each hen shares three "facts" about herself and the others guess which is the lie. Perfect for groups that mix school friends, work friends and family.
9. Hen do bingo
Make bingo cards of things likely to happen ("Someone mentions the ex", "The bride gets free drinks", "Someone loses a shoe") and tick them off through the night.
10. Emoji film quiz
Show films and songs as emoji and race to name them. Try our free emoji quiz for the idea, then write a round of the couple's favourite films.
11. Prosecco pong
Beer pong with a glass of fizz. Set up plastic flutes at each end of a table, take turns to throw a ping-pong ball, and drink when yours is hit.
12. Pass the parcel with dares
Wrap a prize in layers, with a dare or a question about the bride between each one. Whoever's holding the parcel when the music stops has to do it.
Planning tip: open with an ice-breaker (3 or 8), play the Mr & Mrs quiz once everyone's settled, and finish with a phones-out music quiz. It keeps the energy up without anyone having to run the whole thing.

Questions
What are the best hen do games?
The Mr & Mrs quiz is the classic: ask the partner the questions before the hen do, then see if the bride-to-be can match their answers. After that, "Who’s most likely to", Never have I ever and a music quiz from the decade you all grew up in always go down well.
How do you play the Mr & Mrs game on a hen do?
Before the hen do, ask the partner a set of questions and write down their answers (a video is even better). On the day, ask the bride-to-be the same questions. She scores a point for every match, or takes a forfeit for every miss.
How many games should we plan?
Three or four is plenty for an afternoon or evening: an ice-breaker, the Mr & Mrs quiz, something active or silly, and a quiz or music round to finish.
Can we play a quiz on our phones?
Yes. Host one of our quizzes on a TV or laptop and everyone joins on their phone with a QR code, then answers against the clock while the leaderboard does the scoring. The decades packs are a hen do favourite.
Are these games OK for mixed ages?
Most are. Pick the tamer version of Never have I ever and keep forfeits light if mums, aunties or grandmas are joining in.
